Our team at Praxis Consulting took Thursday afternoon, May 16, to plant trees at Camp Munsee in Delaware County, Indiana as part of nature and team building exercise. We were provided with a nature tour from Barry Banks, Director of the Red Tail Conservancy.

WASHINGTON, Feb 12, 2013 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Eight nonprofits in Washington D.C. will compete for donations in a basketball-inspired fundraising tournament courtesy of Brackets for Good, an Indianapolis-based charitable organization that provides pro-bono webraising support for nonprofits. The inaugural Washington D.C. event will tip-off March 4. Brackets for Good utilizes an online bracket system to encourage donations for participating nonprofits as they compete against for the opportunity to advance to the championship round. Each time a person visits the website and donates to an organization, their donation translates into points - one point equals one dollar. After each round, the winning nonprofit advances for a chance to compete in the championship for a $5,000 grand prize donation provided by Praxis Consulting, a full-service subrogation outsourcing firm in Muncie, Ind. Participating nonprofits collect 100 percent of their donations received during the tournament regardless of advancement.

If an insurer consistently pays out more than what it actually should owe, its bottom line takes a hit, so subrogation of claims losses has to figure prominently in the corporate earnings and loss landscape. In the fight for tools, resources and talent, though, subrogation has taken a back seat to other claims processes despite ranking among the top-three revenue sources for insurance carriers, following only premiums and investment income.
